A simple roll-brim softly frames the face, then three eye-catching Norwegian Braid Bands encircle the main body of the hat. Purl ridges in the decorative crown shaping both define and mask the decrease lines, giving a subtle finish that adds textural interest.

Because of deeply felt personal losses when cancer struck members in both our families - - I lost my beloved husband Johnny, and for Laura it was the loss of her dear father.
Adult small-medium [large] - finished circumference 20½[21½]" to fit head to approximately 22[23]". Sport/ DK weight yarn 120[130] yards of main color, 12 yards contrast texture/color. 5 stitches/inch, size US 7 / 4.5 mm needles suggested. Shown in Haneke "Fancy" Exotics (a thick-n-thin slub yarn) baby alpaca/merino/tencel and Treenway Bombyx Silk. Written stitch instructions.
